Consider “Sewn on” doors and center pole pockets! Adding doors provide storm coverage and additional gear storage.
The center pole pocket modification opens up your tarp right where you need it most.
A center pole also provides structural support for shedding snow. The spring like action of a center pole eliminates the need for tarp line tensioners.
Sewn on Tarp Doors
We create great protection and storage out of your tarp by adding doors.
With sewn on doors, you are set for any weather situation at minimum weight. The doors are fully bound with grosgrain, and have one or two tie back toggles (depends on tarp width). ZQ adds loops at the bottom of the doors for overlap staking for maximum protection against wind and rain.
We have door patterns for:
OES MacCat, Hennessy Hex, Hennessy Hex Asym, JRB Hex, ENO Profly, Warbonnet
Please allow 2-3 weeks to complete the tarp modification after tarp is received. (excludes shipping days)
Increase your living space by adding a center pole.
A Center pole opens up the tarp right where you need it most. A pole mod is self-contained and requires nothing outside the tarp to deploy. The center pole also helps the tarp shed snow and creates a nice awning when used with hiking poles. Furthermore, you no longer need tensioners on your guyout lines as the pole acts as a spring to tension all four corners equally.
Our pole pockets are designed to make it easy to add a center pole.
**Note: We do not provide or cut poles to fit your tarp.**
We recommend “Nanolites”, Easton aluminum .344 diameter poles or Carbon Fiber poles www.questoutfitters.com (Just mention the 2QZQ pole mod and they will assist you in proper pole and tips selection.)
